About a month ago I was fortunate enough to take an amazing vacation. Family vacation is usually a phrase that makes people my age tense up a little. Our first thought is “YES..a free vacation still, my parents really do love me..” then reality sets in when you realize you can’t do a keg stand in Cancun with your grandmother holding your ankles while you chug beer wearing the family “if you get lost everyone will know what group you belong to” tee shirts. Even worse is when your parents get a hold of the vodka and make out in public like two slob monsters attacking each other. Well luckily I did not have this type of family vacation. My journey began in New Orleans, Louisiana. I am not a huge fan of living in the south but I will say Louisiana is something to admire. The overall culture is far different from any other southern state I have been to. The genuine southern hospitality, beautiful scenery, and of course the food is amazing. After spending some time in the bayou, we set sail to the Caribbean seas making port in Montego Bay, Jamaica, Grand Cayman Islands and finally Cozumel Mexico. This was truly one of the best vacations of my life, I cannot wait for next year’s in VEGAS!
